hey, i know i havent put anything on here in a while, but i just got back from a tour of the grand canyon and basically all of new mexico and all the crazy crappy towns on the way so hopefully i can get some pictures up. The only thing thats really that great in NM is carlsbad caverns and the food, otherwise its a lot of depressing overweight native american people trying to push lame turquoise jewelry on you. I do, however plan on taking a jewelry-making class at GW so i bought a turquoise stone. Maybe I'll make a bolo tie. Also I want to know why Fender stops making cool body shapes so it can make strats...

So I know they've been making a lot of movies from books and comics and stuff and people always complain that they didnt do a good job exactly re-creating a book or something onto film. a different media. Books have so much more freedom than films where there is literally nothing left to imagination. I feel like we should watch movies from books without neccessarily basing them on our feelings or opinions on the book. I feel like some decent movies (though few) get a bad rap because they dont match up with the book and the director or writer goes somewhere with the movie to make it a more entertaining movie. Of course it really more often goes the other way where a crappy movie gets made about a comic book (recently) solely to make money off the name of something else, I wont name any specific examples... ANYway, what happened to original creative movies that are about a theorhetical topic rather than a specific event or a remake of something or about some situatuion in a country i cannot care about. Anyways this looks like a movie I'd see if I had never heard of the book

found a 63 pickguard thatll fit my new guitar body that i FINALLY got in the mail, two freaking months later

This was the hardest part to find for this guitar since 63 was a transition year for pickguards with the musicmaster/duosonics. Granted this one is for a musicmaster and i have a duo sonic (one vs two pickups) i can always cut a spot for a new pickguard in this one, it was only $20, this guy did NOT know what he had haha, stoked.
